About bottles: We use beautiful glass bottles for all of our juice. We will give you $0.25 for each 16 oz. bottle you return visibly clean and $0.10 for every 2 oz. bottle. We recommend rinsing them right after you are finished drinking. Running through the dishwasher is great as well!

Before you cleanse

The goal of the cleanse is to detox your body, so it’s a good idea to start that process ahead of time to avoid a rough transition. We call it the “ease in”.  Start eliminating toxins from your diet a few days to a week before your cleanse.  No caffeine, alcohol, meat, dairy, refined sugars, or gluten.  Focus on whole, plant based foods and lots of water.  Smoothies and veggie soups would be perfect during the ease-in.

We label them in the order in which we think is best to enjoy the juice throughout the day. But you do you.  If you want to mix up the order that’s OK, just keep the almond milk for last!  It’s best to drink the juice slowly; chugging isn’t a good idea.  Try “chewing” the juice to stimulate your digestive system.  Space your juices a couple hours apart and drink water between juices.

Water is one of the most important aspects of the juice cleanse… it’s how the toxins leave your body!  If you’re unsure how much water you should be drinking...Take your body weight, divide by two and that’s how many ounces you should aim for on a normal day.  When cleansing this number should be higher. (160lbs= 80 oz of water).

Take it easy on exercise during your cleanse.  Your organs are working hard kicking these toxins to the curb so take some time to slow down and do some yoga or light walking.

This is also a perfect time to reflect on other aspects of your life.  Since you will not spend time prepping your own meals or eating, use the extra time to focus on other parts of your life.  Maybe organize your pantry and plan ahead to stock it with healthy options.  Or read a great book you’ve been meaning to start.

If you’re lucky enough to be a Mom and still have to be in the kitchen prepping food for your little ones, now is a perfect time to check in with your family's nutrition and make a game plan for how you will boost your families meals and get back on track.

Congrats! You did it!  Now this is what we call the “Ease Out.”  It’s pretty much the same as when you eased into the cleanse. Start with whole fruits and vegetables and then add whole grains, lean meats, etc.  Take it slow and listen to your body.  You may find you are sensitive to things you weren’t even aware of before.

A note about bottles: We offer you a 25 cent credit for each bottle you bring back!  We can only accept visibly clean bottles. The best way to ensure this is to rinse them out right when you're finished enjoying them and leave the caps off to dry.  Take it from us, once juice has dried on to the beautiful glass bottles it's very difficult to scrub off.  And let's not even talk about what happens when juice is left to "grow" inside a bottle!  Let's just say we aren't interested in accepting science experiments :) We appreciate your understanding. We chose to bottle our juice in glass and work very hard cleaning and sanitizing each bottle by hand in our very small kitchen.  Thank you for understanding and participating in our recycling efforts!

Cleanse FAQ

Can I eat while on the cleanse?

We recommend you stick to the 6 juices plus lots of water.  If you need to eat while on the cleanse we recommend you stick to raw organic vegetables like cucumbers or celery, broth, or a handful of nuts.  Sometimes blending your juice with a frozen banana or raw nuts can do the trick!

Can I workout?

Yes but take it easy.. No iron mans!  Light walking, jogging or yoga are ideal exercises. Remember your body is working hard cleaning the insides, allow the energy to be spent internally.

Is it normal to feel fatigued?

It is normal to feel tired or have a headache when you cleanse.  Depending on how “toxic” you are pre-cleanse, these symptoms might be mild or strong.  The ease-in process can help alleviate the symptoms.  Your body is hard at work cleansing your organs and the side effect can be a case of healthy lethargy.  As always drink lots of water and allow yourself some rest.  If at any time during the cleanse you feel your body is not agreeing with juice cleanse, we recommend you stop, start eating a clean food diet and drink the juices as desired.

Don’t I need protein?

There is protein in our green juices and almond milk.  Remember this is a break for your digestive system, and digesting protein takes a lot of work.

Is it Okay to Drink Tea?

Yes, it’s good to drink tea while on a juice clease. We would suggest staying away from caffeinated tea.  White teas or any decaf teas will work perfectly, and also warm water with lemon.

Can I do a cleanse if I am pregnant?

It is not suggested that pregnant women or nursing mothers do a juice cleanse.

Should I consult my physician before doing my cleanse?

Yes, we do advise that you consult your physician before starting a cleanse! Especially if you are currently taking any prescription medications or have a medical condition.
